Urgent Need - UPDATE!
Praise the Lord!
We are thanking God today for how he has answered our prayers over the last three weeks. The response to our need for a new bus engine has been overwhelming. We have received $60,000 so far, which means that we can pay for the entire cost of the new engine, and we have enough additional funds to address some other regular bus maintenance issues that had fallen behind schedule. We will use any additional funds that come in toward reestablishing our reserve fund which was totally depleted. The reserve fund allows us to cover any months that fall below budget throughout the year, and it also helps cushion the blow whenever we have unforeseen expenses - like bus engines!
We want to thank all of you who have prayed specifically for this need as well as those who have participated in a tangible way. We placed the order for the new engine this past week, and we should have the bus back in operation by the end of January. We have grateful hearts for God's faithfulness to us. Thank you for letting the Lord use you to play a part in His glorious demonstration!
Thank you for your continued prayers during our busy Christmas tour this month. (In the past two weeks, we have ministered in 6 different states and driven over 5,000 miles.) We had plans to minister on the west coast in January, but we have decided to push that trip later into the spring. This leaves us with three open weekends in January right now. Please pray that the Lord will provide ministry opportunities a little closer to home in order to bridge the gap next month while the bus is in the shop. We look forward to seeing you at a church service or special event in 2012, Lord willing.
